Refund & Cancellation Policy

At PJ Car Rentals, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines our cancellation and refund procedures to ensure transparency and fairness.

1. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made through your booking confirmation email, by calling us, or via WhatsApp. Refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel:

48-72 hours before pickup 75% refund
24-48 hours before pickup 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before pickup No refund
No-show (without cancellation) No refund

2. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during booking
  • Refund processing time: 5-7 business days after cancellation approval
  • Bank processing may take additional 3-5 business days to reflect in your account
  • For UPI payments, refunds are typically faster (2-3 business days)

3. Booking Modifications

  • Date/time changes are subject to vehicle availability
  • Modification requests must be made at least 24 hours before the original pickup time
  • One free modification is allowed per booking
  • Additional modifications may incur a processing fee of ₹200
  • Vehicle upgrades are subject to price difference payment
  • Vehicle downgrades: difference amount will be refunded

4. Early Return Policy

  • Early returns do not qualify for partial refunds
  • The full rental amount as per original booking will be charged
  • If you anticipate early return, contact us to modify your booking in advance

5. Late Pickup

  • If you're running late, please inform us immediately
  • We hold the vehicle for up to 2 hours after the scheduled pickup time
  • After 2 hours without communication, the booking may be treated as a no-show
  • Rental duration starts from the originally scheduled pickup time

6. Cancellation by PJ Car Rentals

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a booking due to:

  • Vehicle breakdown or unavailability due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Natural disasters or force majeure events
  • Document verification failure

In such cases, you will receive a full refund (100%) or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.

7. Security Deposit Refund

  • Security deposits are refunded within 3-7 business days after vehicle return
  • Deductions may apply for damages, fuel shortage, or traffic violations
  • A detailed breakdown will be provided if any deductions are made

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Convenience fees or payment gateway charges
  • Add-on services already utilized (GPS, child seat, etc.)
  • Insurance premiums for additional coverage
